The Level Up AI Summit is set to take place in Kelowna on September 27, 2024, with organizers promising an informative, hands-on experience that can have a transformative impact on attendees. Jason Mann and Jim Csek, speaking about the event, underscored the significance of artificial intelligence (AI) and its relevance in everyday life and business.
“AI will likely be the biggest transformational shift that we will see in our lifetimes,” said Csek, comparing the potential impact of AI to that of the Industrial Revolution. He added that AI will accelerate progress in ways that go beyond the capabilities of the internet itself.
The AI Summit will bring together leading experts, including Peter Diamandis, founder of the XPRIZE, a program renowned for kickstarting private enterprise space exploration and more recently, for initiatives tackling carbon capture, wildfire detection, and longevity research. Diamandis will provide attendees with a broad overview of the AI landscape and participate in a live Q&A session, giving an inside look at current innovations.
Mann highlighted the practical focus of the summit, noting that participants will not only learn about AI’s broader impact but also gain hands-on experience with tools that can be integrated immediately into their businesses. “These are actual on-the-ground, practical usage cases,” said Mann. “If you’re a small business, you’re going to learn how to incorporate AI right into your operations.”
Also featured are business trainers Kane and Alessia Minkus, who teach practical AI applications globally. They will demonstrate practical ways to implement AI to improve your business efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
The City of Kelowna will be represented as a case study on AI integration, showcasing how AI is helping deliver better services to residents. “Kelowna is at the forefront,” said Mann, adding that the city’s AI efforts are now nationally and internationally recognized.
For those still on the fence about the implications of AI, Mann cited a recent Leger survey showing that about a third of Canadians believe AI is good for society, while another third remain unsure. Regardless of where you stand, Mann emphasized that attending the summit would provide a comprehensive view of the future, helping businesses and individuals stay competitive in an AI-driven world.
Tickets for the summit range from $99 to $799 for VIP access. Interested participants can learn more or purchase tickets at Eventbrite.
“We’re going to make this an annual summit,” said Csek. “AI is not going away—it’s just accelerating.”
